Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
According to reports making the round, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly eyeing Watford captain Troy Deeney.
It is believed Wenger is a big fan of the Powerhouse striker who has found the back of the next six times in eleven appearances for his club this season.
With Watford current position on the League table there is serious doubt they would want to let go of any of their assets with the likes of striker Odion Ighalo who has scored 14 goals on 20 appearances this season.
However, Deeney recently admitted it would be ‘financial suicide for Watford to let Ighalo go in this month’s transfer window’.
“The value of selling Odion for, what would he be worth? £20m, £25m?” he said.
“Or staying up and getting £200m? Simple business Maths, he’s not going to sell him.”
The Walsall man signed a five-year contract in the summer and it is believed Wenger is preparing a £20million bid to lure him to the Emirates
