Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
According to reports, Arsenal appears to have finally landed their first January signing after FC Basel officially confirmed that Mohamed Elneny is on the verge of completing Arsenal transfer.
The announcement was made on the club’s official twitter handle after the talented midfielder wasn’t present at Training on Tuesday after the player’s returned from their festive holidays.
However, the introduction of Elneny will be good signing as the Gunners are seriously pushing for a major title race this season.
The Mirror reports Elneny had undergone a medical after agreeing terms over a four-and-a-half year contract worth £60,000-a-week.
