Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Arsenal forward Joel Campbell could be heading out of the Emirates. Galatasaraay, who are very serious about acquiring his services in this transfer window have sent an official to London, according to the Daily Star.
According to Radyospor via the Daily star, Gala’s general secretary Fatih Isbecer has travelled to London to begin negotiations with the Gunners in order to trash out a january deal that will see the Costa Rica international move to Turkey.
Campbell, 23, who has just six months left on his current deal joined the Gunners from Costa Rican side Saprissa 5 years ago prefers a move away from the Emirates to signing a contract extension with the Gunners.
Though the Costa Rica international has featured heavily in the last 10 games for his side, his selection has been mainly due to injuries suffered by other forward options Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez.
With Walcott fit and firing and Sanchez closing in on a return, Wenger is believed to prefer cashing in on Campbell now rather than lose him on a free in the summer.
The Gunners have also been linked with a move for wide men which includes Celta Vigo’s Nolito and PSG’s Lucas Moura.
