Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry is set to return to the Emirates after a failed loan spell at West Brom, according to reports.
The winger joined the Baggies last summer on a season long loan deal. He failed to impress West Brom boss Tony Pulis and eventually failed to play regular first team football at the Hawthorns.
His only premier league appearance came against Chelsea in september and Arsenal are already in talks with West Brom as regards cutting his loan spell short.
However, Starsport reveals that the winger is still at West Brom and he is yet to return to the Emirates as the Gunners are yet to reach an agreement with West Brom regarding the amount the Baggies should pay as loan fee.
Both clubs agreed a fee last summer but it is believed that West Brom are only willing to pay half of the fee because the loan deal was ended half way.
The report also claims the Gunners have asked the Baggies to pay the full amount because they were given first option on the player and Tony Pulis men failed to give him the necessary amount of game time that was part of their agreement.
Gnabry is now being linked with a move to Championship side Brighton as the Gunners want the German U21 to gain regular first team experience.
