Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has ruled out a move to Arsenal in the current winter transfer window, according to Espn.
The striker has been linked with a move to the Emirates with the North London club prepared to submit a record fee for the Gabonese international.
The striker who was recently crowned Africa footballer of the year told Espn after claiming his award that he isn’t intersted in leaving BVB.
“Let me say this first: I am not going to Arsenal,” he told ESPN FC’s reporter at the CAF award ceremony in Nigeria. “Dortmund is my club and I am not leaving soon.”
The club has however confirmed they will not be selling any of their players this month as it is not part of their plans to lose anyone during the ongoing transfer window. Sporting director Zorc told reporters: “Looking at the numbers, we don’t have too many players.”
This will come as a big blow to Arsenal fans who have been hoping their club sign a world class striker to strengthen their squad as they aim for premier league glory at the end of the season.
Arsenal currently top the premier league table with 2 points ahead of Leicester City.
