Arsenal are understood to be the club that interests highly rated Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola. The master tactician who holds a long standing wish of one day managing in the premier league recently revealed he would be making his move to England this summer when his contract with German Champions Bayern Munich expires.
He said ” I haven’t decided on a new club yet. I want to experience a new city and I want to work in England. I have some offers from England, but I’ve not signed anything yet.”
Top Journalist and La Liga expert Guillem Balague claims Guardiola holds an interest in managing in the Gunners but sees him coaching elsewhere.
Balague said “I do agree that Pep would be perfect for Arsenal but, despite the interest of Pep in the London team, I feel he might be going somewhere else,” he said.
“As it stands, he has not signed anything and both City and Chelsea think they have a good chance to get him.”
Guardiola has enjoyed a trophy laden managerial career so far with Barcelona and Bayern Munich having burst into the scene with 14 major honours won in his four years at the Camp Nou. With Wenger yet to call his time at Emirates, the Spanish coach unfortunately seems to be heading to rivals Manchester city. Goal reports that City are in advanced talks about bringing him to the Etihad stadium.
