Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal target Victor Wanyama is not prepared to force his way out of Southampton, according to skysports.
The defensive midfielder is attracting interest from lots of premier league sides including Tottenham and Arsenal and the Kenyan international is not prepared to hold his current club to ransome according to the report.
Skysports claims Wanyama’s future at the St Mary’s is under consideration but the defensive midfielder is not willing to force a move out of the club.
The midfielder tabled a transfer request last summer as Tottenham were very keen on signing the Kenya international, as per the Daily Mail. Southampton resisted the player’s advances and the 24 year old is keen for such not to repeat itself again.
Arsene Wenger had reportedly earmarked the 24 year old as his priority January target, as per the Mirror.
However, Arsenal’s interest in the 24 year old is set to reduce as the Gunners have quickly moved to complete the signing of Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny from FC Basel. Elneny plays as a defensive midfielder, same position with Wanyama and with the Egyptian set to complete a move to Arsenal in the next few days, The Gunners interest in Wanyama will cool down at least until next summer.
