Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal step up their search for a striker as Wenger instructs club scout to identify a striker prior to the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.
The Gunners are reportedly in search of a striker next summer and the club has ordered its scouts to step up the search for a striker.
The North London club has identified Watford’s Odion Ighalo as their priority summer target and the club believes the Nigeria international is the right man to lead their attack next season.
The Gunners have also identified Borrusia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and also Bayer leverkusen’s Javier Hernandez as other possible targets next summer.
According to the report, the Gunners believe Ighalo is a more realistic target than the Bundesliga duo.
The Gunners were first linked with a move to sign Ighalo in the current winter transfer window but with the newly promoted premier league outfit reluctant to lose their top striker this month,( as per the Daily Mail) and the Gunners are now prepared to wait till next summer.
Ighalo has 14 goals to his name this term and is currently having a superb season with the Hornets this season.
