Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Nigerian captain at the just concluded Under-17 year World Cup; Kelechi Nwakali. Arsenal wants to move for the players and bring him to the Emirates.
Nwakali won the most valuable player in the Tournament hosted in Chile. A source informed that the player’s visas to England are being processed and a party of seven including their legal guardians are expected this month in London to finalise their transfer to Arsenal.
The player would be given his professional contract at the Emirates once they turn 18 year of age.
Nwakali was reported to have gone on trial at the Etihad Stadium last year; where his elder brother plies his trade in England.
He told Nigerian outlet MTNFootball sometimes ago that ‘’ He would love to play for Arsenal; they are the premier league club I will like to play for because they play the best football in the world. Nwakali’s agent; Klay Ekeocha said: We’ve been in touch with Arsenal and now a deal seem to be on the cards.
The transfer of the player is being handled now by Stellar group, who manage Welsh winger Gareth Bale
