Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Nigerian youngsters Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze are still undecided about a move to the Emirates Stadium just yet as it regards their future despite several reports suggesting the Gunners were close to completing a double transfer deal on the Nigerian duo.
Both players featured for Nigeria in the November Under- 17 Championship hosted in Chile and their performance has caught the eyes of Arsene Wenger and Manchester City boss but they are yet to commit their next club, according to the player’s academy director.
Nwakali Captained Nigeria to victory in the Under-17 cadet tournament in Chile where he scored 3 goals and put in a lot of eye catching display during the tournament; Chukwueze was also a menace on the wings with his best performance coming against the host nations Chile where he won two different penalties and also scored one on the day.
A move to Europe would help Kelechi and Chukwueze’s game develop rapidly; especially if they make a move to a team with good academy set up.
Arsenal is a good ground for the pair to develop their game and grow through the ranks as they are both talented youngsters.
Rumour has it that they are both processing their visas to London, meaning a move to England is imminent but the club in question is still unknown. Manchester City and Arsenal seem to be the likeliest destination.
