Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Arsenal have reportedly secured the service of Charlton Athletic striker, Ademola Lookman for £2 Million. Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City were all interested in a move for the youngster but he snubbed all interest in favour of a move to the Emirates.
Lookman has scored three times for Charlton Athletic who are involved in a relegation fight in the English Championship.
The youngster was said to remain with Charlton till at least in the summer when Interim manager Karel Fraeye insisted that Lookman will not be leaving the club during this transfer window.
Latest reports now states that Arsenal have had a £2 Million bid for the youngster accepted.
The 18 year old would be a good addition to the Gunners ranks but it would hamper his development as he is already playing regularly for Charlton Athletic first team but would have to join the Gunners youth team and wait for his opportunity at first team just like Alex Iwobi is doing or he could go out on loan to gain more experience before being integrated to the Gunners first team.
