Arsenal’s plan to take Pierre Emerick Aubameyang from the Signal Iduna Park to the Emirates suffered another setback.
The Gabonese international seem set to stay in Germany with Borussia Dortmund and he is focused on winning trophies with the German outfit.
The 26 year old is in the form of his life this season, he has scored 18 goals in 17 Bundesliga games and he is leading the scoring chart in Germany.
The newly crowned African player of the year was said to be asked by a fan if he is joining the Gunners? And he replied of course not.
He was quoted to say ‘’ I still want to achieve lots with Borussia Dortmund. I am here now and nowhere else- not at Arsenal, not at Barcelona, not on the moon- you can see that.’’
Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger is said to be a huge fan of Aubameyang and would love to bring the Borussia Dortmund man to the Emirates.
Aubameyang’s capture would almost certainly bring Arsenal the coveted Premier league title but with his refusal to exit Dortmund; the Gunners would have to look elsewhere or wait for their injured striker Danny Welbeck to return from his long injury lay off.
