Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Arsenal skipper Mikel Arteta has voiced his frustration about is bit part role he is currently being handed to play in the Gunners team since his return from long term injury; Despite injuries to Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky, Francis Coquelin and Jack Wilshere in the Gunners midfield, Arteta has found playing time hard to come by.
Arteta is 33 year old now and his best days are certainly behind him, he can’t feature regularly at that age, so players like Aaron Ramsey and new recruit; Mohamed Elneny is bound to limit his playing time or starting role for the Gunners.
His fellow defensive midfielder, Mathieu Flamini is also limited to bench role and sometimes he doesn’t even make the match squad.
Arteta should accept the bench role he is currently getting as the situation would get worst once Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere return to full fitness with Francis Coquelin not far away from returning to the Arsenal fold.
A move away from the Emirates would be an ideal solution for the Spaniard as it would be totally impossible for him to return to the Gunners first team reckoning
