Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Arsenal are planning to lure Chelsea young defender Ola Aina away from Stamford Bridge, according to reports.
The younger is regarded as one of the brightest talents in the Chelsea youth system but he is frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities available at Stamford Bridge and has refused to sign a new contract with the Blues; swinging the door open for the Gunners to make a swoop for the talented youngster.
Report says Arsenal want to bring the youngster to the Emirates where he would be thrown straight into the first team set up at Arsenal.
The 19 year old is a versatile player, as he can play as a center back or as a right back. This would be a good move for the Gunners considering the fact that French defender; Mathieu Debuchy is on the verge of seeking a move away from the Emirates in search of regular playing time to boost his chances of making the French team for the European Championship in the summer.
Ola Aina would be free to sign for any club under the “BOSSMAN” rule in the summer when his contract with the Blues expires and he refuses to sign a new deal.
Arsenal may be leading the chase but expect other clubs to show interest as he nears the end of his contract in the summer. Its best the Blues cash in on him during this January transfer window than lose him for free in the summer since he is rejecting new offers from the club.
