Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Arsenal 30 year old defender Mathieu Debuchy has reiterated his stance about quitting the club in the January transfer window; the experienced right back is still with the Gunners with just 2 weeks left in the transfer window, according to ESPN
Debuchy is desperate on getting back to playing regularly in a bid to make the French team for the European Championships in the summer.
The Frenchman suffered a dislocated shoulder while playing for the Gunners and had to stay out injured for close to six months thereby giving Spanish youngster Hector Bellerin the opportunity to cement his place as Arsenal first choice right back even when Debuchy returned fully fit.
Several clubs have indicated their interest in signing Debuchy during this transfer window but the experienced defender is taking his time to make his next move.
France is the host nation for the European Championship in the summer so Debuchy is keen on representing his home land on home soil, although he faces lots of competition to tie down the right back spot for Le Bleus but playing regularly is the first step in staking his claims to French coach; Didier Deschamp.
So a move away from the Emirates is a necessity if he is to achieve his dream of playing in the European Championships in the summer.
