Arsenal have one of the best scouting networks in the footballing world but they have reportedly set to launch an overhaul of their player recruitment system as they look to keep in touch with European football’s power house.
According to the Daily mail, the Gunners are understood to be targeting Leicester City’s head of technical scouting, Ben Wrigglesworth and the Foxes scout named Steve Walsh as potential arrivals to the Gunners scouting network but Arsenal’s current head of scouting; Steve Rowley is expected to remain as the leader of the club’s scouting operations.
The Gunners are said to be ready to add to their scouting networks both domestically and globally in the youth and senior level so as not to lose out on emerging talents.
Arsenal scouting network have identified the best talents in the world today but sometimes Arsene Wenger don’t move for such players due to the fee required to get them.
Wenger stated some years ago that he was supposed to sign Cristiano Ronaldo when he was still at Sporting Lisbon but he didn’t and he also had the chance to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic but insisted to have him go through trials which the Swede turned down. Today, this two players are amongst the best in the world.
