Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Arsenal run one of the most active scouting network in the world of football and they have tracked Wolverhampton Wanderers centre back Kortney Hause as his performance has attracted the attention of Arsene Wenger who is now set to make a move for the youngster.
According to reports, the England Under 21 international has two years left on his contract at Molineux, he is said to remind Arsenal scouting network of Per Mertesacker when he was younger. Kortney moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers from Wycombe Wanderers in 2014 after initially playing for the West Ham United youth squad where he departed in 2012 to join Wycombe.
The Gunners are looking to add to their squad in the transfer window and has succeeded in signing only Mohamed Elneny from Basel in Switzerland and would be looking to bring in defensive cover.
The only hitch on the Kortney deal is that he is still relatively young and he lacks Premier League experience and may not be drafted into the first team if he finally moves to the Emirates to join the Gunners.
