Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal are not giving up yet in their chase to secure the services of Paris St. Germain’s want away midfielder Adrien Rabiot in the January transfer window.
Rabiot has been on the Gunners radar for a while now due to his immense talent and lack of playing time for the French giants.
According to the Standard Sports, Arsene Wenger had been a long term admirer of Rabiot and was hoping to sign his fellow Frenchman on a free transfer before he signed a new deal with Paris St. Germain in October 2014.
The same source also revealed in November that Arsenal currently have no plans to offer contract extensions to Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini who are all going to be out of contract in the summer.
The 20 years old is a touted as one of the next big thing in to emerge from French football along with Juventus Paul Pogba.
The French youngster can play in the central midfield position, attacking midfield position or as a defensive midfielder; which make him an asset to have in any team.
It was revealed sometimes ago that Rabiot’s mother cum agent; Veronique was said to visit the Gunners in London to discusspersonal terms with the Gunners but it looks like an agreement wasn’t reached. Paris St Germain are reluctant to let the youngster leave as according to Standard Sport Rabiot is down the pecking order in the PSG midfield with Marco Verratti, Thiago Motta, Blaise Matuidi and Javier Pastore all preferred in the starting birth over Rabiot.
