Arsenal are on the lookout for top quality players in the second phase of the season.
According to report making the round, Bayern Munich coach, Pep Guardiola would fancy coaching Arsenal ahead of Manchester United according to Sports Columnist Tony Evans.
The METRO reports that the Spaniard is interested in coaching in the Premier League Club and there are several clubs interested including Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal.
Manchester City were thought to be favourites to land him but Evans believe that Arsenal would be the former Barcelona managers number one choice. Evans was quoted as saying “ Ever since he took that time off after Barca, he’s talked about clubs that attract him Evans told the evening standard.
It is quiet easy to see why Evans feels Arsenal is Pep Guardiola’s first choice of coaching when he leaves the Bundesliga Champions in the summer. The Gunners play the “Tiki Taka” brand of football, which is the hallmark of Pep’s coaching style. He loves to play the possession and sleek passing game which is quiet similar to the way the Gunners play.
Pep has had an impressive coaching career so far, winning the league in Spain and in Germany, while also winning the Copa Del Rey and DFB Pokal cup in Germany plus several other titles. But life in England is not as easy as it is in Spain and Germany where there is only just two/three favourite teams. In the Premier League you have more than 4 teams capable of competing for the title.
The coaching job in England would be a true test of Guardiola’s credentials as he would need to come with his expertise if he to succeed.
