Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal are still in the hunt to sign Schalke 04’s Leroy Sane in the January transfer, according to reports. It was earlier revealed that Arsenal made a bid of £20.9 Million for the 20 year old which was rejected by the Schalke.
Now according to Spanish newspaper Marca via EXPRESS Arsenal are now back in the race for the youngster, however it is understood that Schalke are desperate to hang onto their man and have slapped a £40 Million price tag on the player; and with his contract signed in the summer running till 2019, it will take a hefty bid to convince Schalke to sell.
The Gunners are not the only club tracking the Schalke youngster as the Catalan Giants were said to be prepared to meet his initial release clause which stood at £27.7 Million but now Schalke have now made it £40 Million in a bid to fend off interest in the player.
. The 20 year old attacker is very versatile as he could play in any position up front; either on the right wing, left wing or as the central striker. His performance has led to influx of Europe’s best teams such as Real Madrid whom Sane scored against in the UEFA Champions league, Bayern Munich, Manchester City etc.
