Arsenal legend and second highest goal scorer in the Gunners history behind Thierry Henry has revealed he wants Pep Guardiola to succeed current Gunners boss, Arsene Wenger as the Gunners boss.
The Spaniard revealed earlier in the month that he would make a switch to the English Premier League when his contract expires with the German giants in the summer. Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea were all touted as his destination with Liverpool already securing the services of Jurgen Klopp.
The Daily Star reveals that Wright, 52, is a big fan of the former Barcelona boss and has admitted that he would love to see him take the reign at the Emirates once Arsene calls time on his stay with the north Londoners.
The same source went further to report that Ian Wright wants Guardiola to bring five time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi to the Emirates. He wants all these to happen only after Arsene Wenger retires as he feel Wenger is still the right man for the Gunners.
Guardiola is the most sort after coach at the moment despite being contracted to Bayern Munich till the summer; Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United have all indicated their desire to snap up the Spanish tactician in the summer.
