Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
African player of the year, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is said to be worth more than £76 Million to the Borussia Dortmund hierarchy. According to the Daily Star, Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has insisted that £76 Million will not be enough to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked to the Gabonese international who has scored 27 goals in 28 appearances for Dortmund, the same number of goals that Cristiano Ronaldo has scored for Real Madrid this season.
Aubameyang seems happy to remain with the German outfit despite interest from many top clubs in Europe including Barcelona who are also being linked to the striker. He was quoted as saying “ I feel happy, still want to achieve lots with Dortmund and win titles, that is also fact. I am here now and nowhere else. Not at Arsenal, not at Barcelona, not on the moon- you can see that.”
This claim is backed up by Dortmund Chief who was responding to claims from former Germany international Lothar Matthaus who said Premier League clubs were willing to splash £76 Million on Aubameyang by insisting that even if a high offer would come in now, it would not matter. We will not sell Aubameyang as the player himself insist he is happy at Dortmund and wants to win more silverware with Thomas Tuchel’s side.“
