Arsenal hope of having Pep Guardiola as their next manager seem to have come to an end as reports indicate that the Gunners boss, Arsene Wenger is set to sign a new long term contract in the summer to remain with the Gunners, according to reports.
The French man has been in the helm of affairs in Arsenal since 1996 (almost 20 yrs.), he is currently the longest serving manager in the Premiership and it now looks like he would be extending it beyond the 20 years mark despite having 18 months left in his current contract.
According to The Sun via TEAMTALK, it is claimed that an agreement between Arsenal and Arsene Wenger after the Frenchman rubber stamped the club’s new scouting network, the same sources also stated that Wenger has already begun preparing for the club’s next decade with an off field overhaul.
This news would surely delight both Manchester clubs with reports emerging last week that Pep Guardiola prefers a move to the Emirates than to anywhere else in the premier league . The Spaniard has already indicated to the world that he would be leaving the Bundesligs champions in the summer and heading to England.
