Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Juventus are looking to cash in on Arsenal target Alvaro Morata but with a view of possibly acquiring another of the Gunner’s target in Edison Cavani.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport via the Express claim the Italian Club have also been alerted at the supposed availability of the Uruguayan and will look at offloading Morata if it helps them acquire the services of Cavani .
Both strikers are understood to be high on Wenger’s transfer list as he continues his search for a forward to aid his team title bid.
Morata is pushing for a move away from Turin having fallen behind summer recruits Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala in attack as he seeks more regular football needed to make the Spain squad for the upcoming Euro championship while Cavani is frustrated with being played out of position in Paris and his relationship with manager has been severely damaged beyond repair.
Speaking to the media, PSG manager Blanc confirmed Cavani’s frustrations saying: “There is a problem with Cavani’s behaviour but my job is to think of the entire squad as a collective.
“We did hold a staff meeting and among the various issues we discussed were Cavani and his complaints.
“The desires of the individual can’t affect the rest of the team. I believe that he can score here but I understand if he wants to consider other career opportunities.”
It’s now up to Wenger to decide which of his available targets he makes a move on. Over to you Arsene……..
