MASSIVE Update On Arsenal 2nd January Signing

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.

Arsenal have been reportedly denied a chance to move for Napoli midfielder Jorginho, according to reports. The Gunners have reportedly been scouting the Brazilian player for some time now.

According to GOAL, the Gunners have been eyeing the 24 years old and where hopeful of making him their second signing of the January transfer window following the arrival of Mohamed Elneny from FC Basel in Switzerland. But the Serie A leaders are reluctant to sell with the Scudetto up for grabs, while the player himself only signed a new deal in December that would keep him with the Naples till 2020.

But The EXPRESS, Napoli could still be willing to cash in on Jorginho, but it would be in the summer once their current title bid is over.

 Napoli are currently toping the Serie A standing, with defending Champions, Juventus closely following despite having a poor start to their campaign after the departure of Andre Pirlo, Carlos Tevez and Arturo Vidal to join New York City FC in the Major League Soccer , Boca Juniors at Argentina and Bayern Munich in Germany respectively.

GOAL confirms that Arsene Wenger is likely to return with another bid in the summer, however when the Italian outfit would be more likely to allow the Brazilian to leave.
