Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal bound Nigerian youngster Kelechi Nwakali has revealed the shirt number he would love to wear at the Emirates, the youngster while speaking to the media in Nigeria also said he is very confident of having a suscessful career at Arsenal. The teenage sensation revealed he will request the Jersey number worn by his hero Nwankwo Kanu when he signs for the Gunners.
The deal for the youngster having been delayed for a couple of weeks has finally been granted the documentation, the youngster has thus boarded a British Airways flight to London to finalise his move to Arsenal. His transfer to the Emirates was actually expected to go through this week after Football Insider had reported that a £4million double deal for the Nigerian youngster and teammate Samuel Chukwueze was ’99 percent complete’.
In an execusive chat with Tribune Sports, via football insider, Nwakali, who led the Golden Eaglets to victory at the 2015 FIFA World Championship in Chile, said it is a dream come true for him but he is aiming for first team action at the Emirates.
Nwakali said: “I am going to Arsenal to work and try to be the best I can. With God anything is possible, to work hard to justify my claim for first team football.”
The #25 desired by the youngster is currently being occupied by right back Carl Jenkinson, if the defender grants him his wish is left to be seen.
Nwakali’s compatriot Samuel Chukwueze is expected in London next month to also complete his move.
