Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal transfer target Nolito’s proposed move to Barcelona has reportedly broken down, paving the way for the Gunners to make a move for the Celta Vigo forward.
Nolito was set to be heading to Barcelona in the January transfer window but the move has reportedly broken down with Metro reporting that Arsenal are ready to re-open talks with Celta Vigo to sign Nolito.
The Gunners were apparently in negotiation to sign the Spain striker earlier in this window, but then Barcelona moved to get him.
Nolito has represented Barcelona in the past before moving to Celta Vigo. Nolito was in the Barcelona payroll from 2008-2011 and played under current Barcelona head coach who was also a former Celta Vigo coach. A reunion was on the cards but its looking like it may not see the light of day.
Arsenal need another forward to support French man Olivier Giroud in their quest for domestic glory as the Gunners had been linked to Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all through this January transfer window with the German side refusing to sell their prized asset; leaving the Gunners to look elsewhere.
