Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal have been denied another opportunity to sign Leicester City young defender Ben Chiwell, according to reports, the Gunners had an initial bid of £3 Million rejected by the Foxes with the Gunners hoping to capture the young left back with an improve bid before the close of the January transfer window.
However report reveals that Leicester City have opened talks with Chiwell’s representatives about extending his contract which runs till 2017. Leicester city currently offers Chiwell as little as £800 per week but are planning to increase it by 10 times its current figure which would now amount to £8,000 a week for the 19 years old.
THE Gunners are not the only interested team jostling for the youngsters signature, Liverpool and Tottenham have indicated their interests but it’s the Gunners who have so far placed a bid to secure the players signature.
Chiwell was out on loan in the first part of the season at Championship side Huddersfield and he is yet to feature for the Foxes in the Premier League but he put in two outstanding performances against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup at White Hart Lane and In the replay at the King Power Stadium.
