Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is interested in signing Arsenal target Javier Hernandez come the summer. The striker popularly known as Chicharito has been in outstanding form since moving to Bayer Leverkusen in the summer and is understood to have caught Wenger’s attention as he continues to search for a top notch centre forward, but with Klopp’s connections during his stint in German football a real tussle for the striker’s signature seems to be the cards come the summer.
The Times via the Metro reports that Klopp has identified Hernandez as the ideal summer signing amd are prepared to Gazump Arsenal in the race to sign the former Manchester United man.
The Mexico international who was recently crowned player of the year in his Country has taken the Bundesliga by storm this season, firing in 21 goals in just 29 appearances for Leverkusen since moving in August in a £7.3m deal after being told he was surplus to requirements by United boss Van Gaal.
Should the 27-year-old continue in this rich vein of form that could see him net over 40 goals in his debut season, interest in him is expected to be much higher in the summer. Wenger will have a lot of convincing to do to ensure player prioritises a move to the Emirates.
