Arsenal have moved a step closer to the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Isco, according to Tribalfootball.
The Gunner’s have been linked with a move to sign the Spanish midfielder since last summer and it was thought Wenger will finally make a move for the playmaker in the last winter transfer window but according to the report, Wenger moved to acquire a buying option on Isco.
The report claims, Real Madrid rejected two huge offers for the midfielder from Arsenal because Zinedine Zidane is a fan of the player and isn’t keen to let go of a player that he is fond of and also the Spanish club couldn’t find a quality replacement for the midfielder in the closing stages of the window.
The Buying Option the Gunners reportedly obtained will give the Gunner’s edge over the likes of Juventus and Manchester Cty in the race to sign the midfielder next summer.
The undoubted quality of Isco who has been described by his current National team coach Vincete Del Bosque as the future of Spain surely makes him an exceptional player. A move to the Emirates will see the 23-year old line up alongside Mesut Ozil, the man he was signed to replace at Real Madrid. An attacking midfield trio of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Isco will surely terrorise Premier League club’s defenses.
