Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes the club’s playmaker Mesut Ozil has added a new quality to his game after his superb performances for the Gunner’s against Bournemouth on Sunday.
The midfielder who scored the Gunner’s first goal with a wonderful right foot volley received praises from the boss as his team eventually won the game 2-0 which was their first win in five games.
Wenger praised the German international for his attitude in the win which saw them climb over Manchester City into 3rd place in the league.
“He has become a very important player,” Wenger said, via football insider.
“He has added a fighting attitude today. It was a top, top, top performance from him today.
“He scored with his right foot which is very interesting for us.
If he scores with his right foot he will become even stronger.”
Ozil has been instrumental in the Gunner’s side who are currently having a superb season and the German has received plenty of plaudits for his performances this term from both players and fans.
Ozil’s goal on Sunday was his fouth league goal for the Gunner’s this term and he is currently leading the assist chart with 16 goals, six more than second placed Riyad Mahrez.
