Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista could miss the club’s crunch tie against European giants Barcelona and Manchester United next week, according to a report on football insider.
The defender who just recently displaced the Gunners captain Per Metersacker from the Gunners first team suffered a minor harmstring injury during a training session prior to the Gunners game against Leicester City last weekend.
The player could now miss up to two weeks of action as a result ruling him out of the tie against the current European Champions.
The Player will be assessed by the club’s medical officials at the club’s London Colney headquarters so as to determine the severity of his injury.
However, the Fans and the club will be hopeful the centre back will return to action as soon as possible but he is set to miss this weekend’s game against Hull City.
Arsenal will host Barcelona on tuesday next week in the first leg of this season’s round of 16 Uefa Champions League tournament. The defender could also miss the game against Manchester United five days after the Barcelona clash.
