Arsenal Legend Thierry Henry has talked up the Gunners’ win against Leicester City land also the impact of Danny Welbeck’s goal,
Henry believes Welbeck’s late goal against Leicester City could give the Gunners the much needed impetus to push for the title this season.
The Gunners defeated Claudio Ranieri’s men 2-1 and the victory enabled Arsenal to close the gap between themselves and top of the table Leicester City to two points and Henry now believes his former side could now go on to win the league title.
“The ending was like a great movie,” Henry told Sky Sports.
“I thought at one point that Arsenal didn’t do enough at the end of the day.
Leicester went down to 10 men, which made it a bit easier for Arsenal to play.
“I’m very happy for Danny Welbeck because I see him every day and he suffered a lot not being able to help the team.
He helped the team massively today.
“This will give Arsenal massive belief. They have difficult away fixtures. They had to win today.
“I don’t think they played really well, it wasn’t a great Arsenal performance, they didn’t look like champions but they won the important one.”
Henry was part of the Gunners invisible who last won the league title eleven years ago and the 37 year old who is now part of the youth coaching crew at the club will be hoping the side lift the title at the end of the current campaign.
