Arsenal have been told to forget about signing Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, according to talksport.
The Gunners have been linked with a move to sign the Argentine striker since his days at Real Madrid and with the club reportedly in search of a top striker to compete with Olivier Giroud next summer, it is thought Wenger would explore the possibility of signing Higuain.
However, the player’s agent Nicolas Higuain, who also happens to be his brother has revealed that the player is happy at Napoli and he is focused on helping the Serie A side secure a Champions League Spot at the end of the season.
Speaking to Radio kiss kiss Napoli, Nicolas Higuain said:
“We have a contract and there’s no chance of playing elsewhere, but we can’t think about the Champions League now, but just about playing every game.”
“There are still many points to play for.
“When Gonzalo plays it’s normal that there’s a high chance of scoring goals, he’s having a great season.”
Higuain is the serie A top striker with 24 league goals to his name already and the Gunners would definitely do well with such quality up front.
Bayern Munich and Chelsea are also monitoring the striker and they would also be disappointed with the agent’s recent comments.
