Arsenal target Andriy Yarmolenko has turned down a move to Barcelona in order to move to the Premier League, the agent has revealed.
It was thought that the Gunners had agreed a £23m deal to sign the midfielder in January but the move failed to materialize.
Premier League side Everton have also been monitoring the striker, the striker’s agent was reportedly seen around the Goodison pack in January after a failed summer move. Everton were keen on signing the striker last summer and were willing to meet the player’s release clause but the move fell through as Kiev President Ihor Surkis was against the move.
The agent has now reveled the winger turned down a move to the Camp Nou in order to secure a dream move to the Premier League, according to the Daily Express.
Barcelona were reportedly interested in signing the winger last month as Luis Enrique tried to bolster his attacking options.
His agent Shabily told Ukrainian website SportFile: “Was there interest on the part of Barcelona? There was.
“Andriy has a desire to play in the Premier League. This championship attracts him, he sees himself in it.
“Everything will depend on the willingness of Yarmolenko.”
Yarmolenko has scored 13 goals in 23 appearances for Dynamo Kiev this season. He has also been linked with a move to Chelsea in the past.
