Arsenal have given Arsene Wenger a huge £75m to spend this summer as the North London club prepare for a summer overhaul, according to reports.
After the club’s dismal display against Manchester United on Sunday, Wenger is already preparing for next season and the club has given him a huge £75m transfer budget to back him up ahead of next season.
According to the Independent, Wenger has targeted defense and midfield as the key areas he is looking to strengthen.
However, the French man could also try to strengthen is forward line but with the likes of Kiran Gibbs, Mathieu Debuchy, Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta and Thomas Rosicky set to depart the club this summer, Wenger has priotized strengthening his midfield and defense.
Wenger is also looking to sign Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to new deals along with new summer arrivals as he tries to build a new spine of the squad.
The club is reportedly targeting Ben Chilwell, Victor Wanyama, N’Golo Kante and William Carvalho. Upfront, the club has been linked with the likes of Odion Ighalo and Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang.
The club will also make decisions on the future of Jack Wilshere, Santi Carzola, Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with the later being linked with a move away from the club.
