Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool striker Christian Benteke at the end of the season.
The Belgian international moved to Anfied last summer for a fee of £32m but has failed to justify his price tag since completing the move. His situation hasn’t been helped by the managerial change at Anfield and it is believed that Jurgen Klopp who replace Bredan Rodgers as Liverpool boss in November is open to selling Benteke.
According to some reports in England, Benteke could be moving to Arsenal at the end of the current campaign as Wenger tries to freshen up his attacking options.
Arsenal was linked with a move to sign the player while he was at Aston Villa and Wenger who reportedly wants to sign a striker in the summer could take advantage of the player’s situation at Anfield.
However, the player’s agent Kismet Eris has dismissed those reports claiming a move to Arsenal is not on the cards, according to off the post blog.
The agent insisted his client will not be moving to Arsenal as he is focused on proving himself at Anfield. Krismet told sportwitness: “[Benteke is] only thinking about Liverpool at the moment.”
Benteke has scored seven goals in twenty eight appearances for Liverpool this season.
