German Gunner Mesut Ozil was substituted in Arsenal 2-0 away win at Everton on Saturday.

Arsene Wenger revealed he had to make the change as a precaution after he was tackled hard by John Stones.

Wenger added he is confident that Ozil has not suffered damage to his ankle ligaments after consulting the club’s medical team.

“It is an ankle problem, but it looks more of a kick than a ligament problem,” Wenger revealed at his post-match media conference to reporters.

Goals from Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi were able to do the trick for Arsenal.
