Arsenal are determined to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer, according to reports.
The Gunners are reportedly in search of a world class striker to lead the line next season. With the recent amount of money being pumped into the Premier League, the club knows they can’t afford to sit and fold their hands this summer. English clubs are all capable of signing quality players, hence reducing the gulf in terms of quality between the traditional big clubs and the other clubs.
With this in mind, the club have ordered Arsene Wenger to spend big this summer and according to Le 10 sport via the Metro, Aubameyang is top of the club’s wish list and Arsenal are offering to pay £63.2m for the Gabonese striker as Wenger is determined to sign the striker.
Manchester United have also been linked with a move to sign Aubameyang but Wenger is prepared to do whatever it takes to sign the striker who has been on the club’s radar since his time at St Etienne.
Aubameyang has scored 76 goals in all competitions for BVB since joining the club in 2013, however, this season has been his best at the club scoring 32 goals in all competition.
