Arsenal are set to raid Leicester City again, according to the Foxes former player Matt Elliot.
After completing the signing of Ben Wrigglesworth from Leicester City few months ago, Arsenal are now set to raid the league leaders again.
This time, the man attracting the interest of Arsene Wenger is Steve Walsh who has been credited for the signing of N’Golo Kante, Robert Huth, Shinji Okazaki and Gokhan Inler.
Wenger had previously stated the need of a good scouting network and his determination to find the next Jamie Vardy and he is set to bolster the club’s scouting department by luring Walsh to the Emirates.
Huth and Kante have been crucial for the Foxes this season, with particularly Kante being one of the best midfielders in the league despite joining the foxes for a mere £5.6m last summer.
Elliot while praising Claudio Ranieri for his exploits this season revealed Wenger’s interest in Steve Walsh.
“Claudio Ranieri has brought with him a feel good factor,” he told Goal.
“He hasn’t come in and swept the place clean with a new broom, but he could see by the run at the end of last season that there were a lot of positives and added to it.
“His recruitment of staff has been first class. Steve Walsh, for instance, has been a massive influence. Arsenal are desperate to have him on their staff and he’s just as much in demand as any of our players.
“But ultimately it is down the players, such as Jamie Vardy, N’Golo Kante and [Riyad] Mahrez.”
Should Walsh be tempted to move to the Emirates, he will be the second Leicester City staff to move to the Emirates within a year.
