Paris Saint-Germain striker is demanding a world record salary before completing a move to Arsenal.
The big Swede is in the last year of his contract at PSG and could move to another club on a free transfer this summer. The 34-year old has been heavily tipped to move to the Premier League with Manchester United and Chelsea also interested in the striker.
According to the Daily Mail via the independent, Ibrahimovic will demand a world record £600,000 a week to complete a move to the Premier League.
The fee more than doubles the current Premier League record which currently stands at £260,000 a week.
According to the report, a source involved in negotiations bringing the striker to the Premier League has labelled the striker’s demand “crazy” and he doubts if a Premier League club will be able to sign the 34-year-old.
“We would like to sign him, but the money is crazy,” the source said. “We get that he would be a significant capture, but is he really worth that money — and at the age of 34?”
It is claimed that Ibrahimovic is concerned about the taxing rate in England and that is the reason he is demanding for such astronomical wages.
Ibrahimovic also has offers from China but the big Swede is determined to stay in Europe.
Ibrahimovic has scored 102 goals in 116 appearances for PSG since his move to the club in 2012, his stats make him the sort of striker needed at Arsenal but his wage demands will most likely turn off Arsene Wenger.
