Kieran Gibbs could leave the Emirates this summer in search of regular football, according to reports.
The defender is finding it difficult to break into the Gunners first team after losing his place to Nacho Monreal.
The 26 year old was touted to be the future of the club at left back but the superb form of Nacho Monreal has forced him to just three Premier League start this season.
According to ESPN, Gibbs has made Arsene Wenger aware of his decision to leave the Emirates if he isn’t going to be playing regularly.
The England international believes he should be playing regularly at this stage of his career.
It is believed that Wenger is prepared to let the defender move on should he be able to sign a replacement this summer.
Arsenal have been linked with Lorient defender Raphael Guerreiro and the Portuguese wing back is being lined up as a replacement for Gibbs.
Gibbs was linked with a move away from the club in the January transfer window as he feared for his Euro 2016 chances but Wenger insisted the 26 year old remain at the club. With his chances of going to the Euros very slim now, Gibbs is now considering his future as he enters into the peak of his career.
Gibbs has made 127 appearances for the club since breaking into the first team in 2011, it’s definitely going to be sad seeing one of the club talent leave this summer.
