Arsenal are set to join Barcelona and Liverpool in the race to sign former Tottenham reject Arkadiusz Milik.
Wenger is reportedly considering signing the 22 year old Ajax striker who has been impressive this season but the club may have to dig deep as Dutch club will understandably be reluctant to part with their star striker.
The striker’s agent recently confirmed the Gunner’s interest in the 22 year old but insisted his client is focused on Ajax at the moment.
David Przemyslaw Pantak told Lalaziosiamonoi.it: “This season Milik has scored 19 goals and had eleven assists, the last season he scored 23 goals in 33 games in all competitions, as quoted by Tribal football.
“He is only 22, but has already scored important goals even with the Polish team, like the ones he scored against Germany, Scotland and Switzerland.
“It is understandable that there are these rumors. Milik is carefully observed by some top European clubs, but in the coming weeks he wants to concentrate fully on the Eredivisie to bring back the title into the hands of Ajax.
“After doing this, he will compete in the biggest tournament of his career: Euro 2016.”
The striker who joined the Eredivisie side for a fee of £2m last summer has established himself in his first season at the club scoring 16 goals and providing 8 assists for his teammates in 25 league games drawing the attraction of the longest serving manager in the EPL.
Milik was close to moving to England for just £100,000 when he was 16. Tottenham turned down the chance to sign him after a trial, claiming they had better players of his age on their books.
