Arsenal have been monitoring Ivory Cost centre half Franck Kessie, revealed the player’s agent.
The midfielder is currently on loan at Italian second division with Cesena and has been impressive this season. His performances for the Serie B side have alerted top clubs across Europe including Arsenal.
The 19 year old Cameroonian has also received plaudits for his versatility as he can play in numerous positions including midfield, right back and right wing.
His agent George Atangana recently revealed his client is attracting interest from top clubs and scouts have been monitoring his client’s progress. He is quoted as saying in The Sun, via the Mirror:
“Arsenal have sent scouts to watch him twice.
“All the big clubs in Italy rate him and he’s got a lot of foreign interest as well.”
Wenger is reporetedly interested in strengthening the defense line and is on the look out for a quality defender, with Kessie’s relative lack of experience of top flight football, one could conveniently say should Kessie move to the Emirates, it will be as a result of the club’s long term plan.
Kessie has scored three goals in 29 appearances for Cesena since joining the Serie B side on loan from Atlanta last summer. He has also featured for the Elephants of Cote d’ivoire senior team this year.
