Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has revealed he is already planning for next season and he has informed his parent club Arsenal and his loan club Roma about his plans, according to London24.
The goalkeeper’s future has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks with the Poland goalkeeper being linked with a move to Liverpool and Everton.
It is claimed that Roma have completed a deal to sign Internacional goalkeeper Allison and could decide against signing the shot stopper.
But the goalkeeper has now revealed he has his plans for next season and both clubs now know where he will prefer to spend the next season.
“I spoke with both clubs [Arsenal and Roma], but I can’t say what I told them,” he explained.
“Everyone knows what my intentions are. [Luciano] Spalletti gave us consistency and stability in defence, and this has been crucial to our push for the Champions League.”
Szczesny joined Roma last summer after the arrival of Petr Cech from Chelsea. despite being away, the 25 year old is keeping a close eye on the Premier League and recently admitted he would love Leicester City to win the title ahead of Arsenal.
He added: “No one in football can explain the Leicester miracle. Even though I support Arsenal in the Premier League, I’d like to see Ranieri’s side win it.
“They’re an example and an inspiration to everyone. It’s exciting to watch them play.”
Szczesny has featured 27 times for Roma in the Serie A this season and is definitely enjoying his time in Rome as the Italian club closes in on a Champions League spot.
