Arsenal youngster Dan Crowley is set to be fast-tracked into the Gunners first team next season, according to reports.
Wenger, who has plans to reshape his squad this summer ahead of a crucial season, despite targeting a number of top arrivals is also set to promote the club’s youngsters into the senior squad for the upcoming season.
This season, Alex Iwobi was surprisingly included in the first team and the young winger has caught the attention of fans and pundits with his performances.
While the Telegraph reports Gideon Zelalem is widely expected to be included in the first team next season after his loan spell at Rangers, the Daily Mail via the Star claims Crowley could be fast tracked into the first team as Wenger is considering massive squad changes involving the British players. As many as five British players could leave the Emirates this summer and Wenger is keen on replacing the outgoing British core with U23 British players, Crowley could very well be a beneficiary of the decision.
Crowley joined Arsenal in 2013 and was sent out on loan to Barnsley last summer. The loan move was however cut short in October but the 18-year-old revealed in January he would be tempted to go out on loan again at the end of the season.
However, he could be given a bigger opportunity to stake his claim with the club’s first team and we will be hoping he makes the most of it.
