Wenger’s interest in the winger has been long standing with some reports claiming the French tactician failed with a last-ditch bid on January transfer deadline day.

Arsenal reportedly submitted a £3m bid + Serge Gnabry on loan for the winger in January but the move failed. It is expected that Wenger would return for Sessegnon this summer but Wenger is set to find it a bit difficult as Liverpool have joined the race to sign the midfielder.

Wenger will now have to offer more than the £3m he offered in January and will also need to act fast to sign the teenager.

Fulham on their part are uninterested in selling the winger and are determined to hold on to the winger beyond the current campaign but it will be a tough assignment for the West London side to keep hold of their wonder kid with big clubs circling around.

Wenger is determined to sign the country’s best talents this summer and Sessegnon has joined Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell in Wenger’s wishlist.
