Arsene Wenger has urged fans to return to the Emirates stadium to watch quality football, via football365.

The Gunners had to play in front of a reduced crowd when West Brom came to town on Thursday night. The attendance was the least ever recorded in a home game since the club moved to the Emirates stadium. In a bid to get the supporters back to the stadium, Wenger urged them to come back and watch Quality football.

Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners on the night and Wenger who was impressed with the team’s performance asked the fans to come back and support the team.

The fans anger was as a result of Wenger not being able to successfully lead his team in the title race and the few that were present carried banners asking the French man to quit.

When asked to comment on fans who decided not to attend the game, Wenger said his message to them was:

“To come and support the team. If you love football, you go out there and I think you see quality football.

“That’s what we try to give to our people. It was a special night as well, Thursday night, and I don’t know if you are intelligent enough, nor am I, to detect exactly why everybody that did not turn up tonight did not turn up.

“I believe we dominated from the start to the last minute and in fact, was what we did against Crystal Palace. Overall I believe the quality of our game was very good. Maybe, we could have scored more goals.

“That is the only thing you could say tonight. We didn’t concede and couldn’t finish the game off the way we wanted.”
