Arsene Wenger says he is unsure if Walcott will remain at the club beyond the current campaign, via Ibtimes.

The England international is being linked with a move away from the Emirates and Wenger has fueled those speculations by claiming the winger’s future is uncertain.

The forward has found himself out of the club’s first team in recent months and is yet to start a club game since the beginning of March. Reports claiming he is considering leaving the club this summer have been doing the round on the internet and it appears there may be some truth in those reports after Wenger’s recent comments.

“I don’t know yet,” Wenger told Sky Sports when he was asked whether Walcott could leave Arsenal in the summer.

“I’m not in transfer mode at the moment, but I think he has gone through a bad spell. He has responded very well, because he said: ‘Okay, I will work harder and more’. Even when he comes on now, you see he is motivated and focused. Let’s see how well he finishes the season now,” he said.

“You have the emergence of a guy like Iwobi. But the players that did not play [against West Brom]: Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini, Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade- Chamberlain, and I forget a few that weren’t even in the squad.

“All these players will be frustrated, or the guys who go out. will be frustrated. Welbeck didn’t play, Campbell didn’t play,” Wenger added.
