Paris Saint-Germain have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Real Madrid striker, according to reports.
Wenger is understandably seeking more fire power following the long-term injury suffered by Danny Welbeck which will see the England international miss out on the first half of next season. This has left Arsenal light in attack and Wenger is understood to be very keen on signing Alvaro Morata this summer.
PSG on their own part are looking to sign a striker as they prepare for the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the report reckons the French club is in the Morata market.
The report claims Arsenal are willing to pay as much as €60m in transfer fee and also offer the striker a huge pay cheque. PSG are also not shy to spend as the French club is reportedly willing to increase the striker’s salary to €9m a year.
Madrid are expected to sign the striker from Juventus this summer and sell for a large profit, no doubt the Spanish club will be licking their lips at the caliber of clubs interested in the 23-year-old striker.
Juventus have also not given up hope in signing the striker but the Serie A side would find it difficult to match Arsenal and PSG financially.
He currently earns around €70,000 a week at Juventus, it is believed Wenger hopes to double his weekly wage to seal his transfer to the Emirates stadium.
